1. Basic Setup Package. This package encompasses a collaborative session aimed at comprehensively understanding your organization's unique structure and requirements. It facilitates the development of a folder system architecture, home page design, and user group configurations based on varying permission levels. This offering is particularly beneficial for new Dovetail customers who are in the initial stages of utilizing the platform.
2. Global Fields and Tags Workshop. This workshop is recommended as an add-on to the Basic Setup Package or as a standalone service for organizations that have already established an initial structure but require specialized support with this feature. It assists in optimizing the utilization of the Dovetail platform through the effective implementation of global fields and tags.
3. Work Upload Party. Do you require assistance with transferring existing research into your newly established Dovetail research repository? This option provides you with the necessary materials to conduct your own work upload session, or alternatively, we can facilitate the session(s) for you at an additional cost.
4. Customization Package. If your organization has already established the basic structure within Dovetail and seeks to streamline operations or leverage advanced features, this package provides comprehensive support. It includes the creation of both insight and project templates, the development of a custom vocabulary for your workspace to improve transcription services, the integration of feeds, and an enhanced home page design. An additional service available with this package is assistance in configuring your People Database.
   
5. Custom Help Documentation. Recommended as a supplementary addition to either the Basic Setup Package or the Customization Package, this documentation is meticulously tailored to the specific design of your workspace. It includes comprehensive written support materials and recorded tutorials to facilitate your organization's seamless adoption.

DEI in Research Trainings

1. Personas or Archetypes?In this one-hour training session, we explore the origins and purposes of personas, critically assessing their value as well as the biases and stereotypes they may perpetuate if not thoughtfully developed. We examine the necessity of this tool, identifying the contexts in which it is beneficial and those in which it may be detrimental. Furthermore, we introduce an alternative artifact, behavioral archetypes, and discuss their application in scenarios where products and domains are not centered around a customer's identity. By the conclusion of this training, you will be equipped with the knowledge to discern when to utilize a persona versus an archetype and how to effectively construct these artifacts.
2. Creating Trauma-Aware Research Spaces. Historical research practices have, at times, inflicted trauma on specific communities. This training emphasizes our professional responsibility in creating research environments that foster psychological safety. It addresses the importance of acknowledging past harms and recognizing that individuals we engage with may have experienced trauma, irrespective of its relevance to the research topic. Although the primary focus is on fostering a supportive environment for research participants, the principles discussed are equally applicable to the spaces we cultivate within our teams and our collaborative efforts. Upon completion of this training, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of historical trauma within the research field, ethical principles for engaging with potential research participants, and modifications to conventional research methodologies that promote a trauma-aware perspective.
